His Truth Your Nightmare Read online

I must’ve been taking too long with the body because the next thing I know is the driver’s side door is being snatched open and my best friend Myst, which is short for Mysterious, is pulling me out of the car. My bestie knows me all too well so she knew by the expression on my face that I had gotten off.

“Truth, you are one sick bitch, I knew yo nasty ass was over here raping him while he was dying. If you get some dick then you wouldn’t be doing this. I take that back because as freaky as you are, you still would.”

We both had to laugh at that because I can be one freaky little lady.

“Let me make it heifer! You know that I haven’t gotten any good wood in a minute so you know I’m extra horny.” I was laughing but serious as hell and we both know it.

I hurriedly got myself together and ran to the car that she had waiting. When I made it, I reached into the backseat and grabbed the duffle bag with my change of clothes in it. I wasn’t worried about anyone being able to identify me because the parking lot was empty and I was incognito the whole time.

I bet you thought I was slipping huh? Nah, never that. I snatched off the blonde wig and green contacts then placed them in a plastic bag. I changed out of my blood soaked dress then wrapped everything up and placed it in the bag as well. I wiped as much blood off with the wipes as I could so that I could be a little decent.

Everything from tonight must be disposed of even Dollar and his car. I called my boss off of an untraceable phone and only said one word, “Done.” Nothing more needed to be said so he hung up right after. While I was changing clothes and handling business with the boss, Myst had been at the car removing Dollar’s hands from his corpse so that they can be given to the client. I don’t know exactly what he did and I really don’t care but whatever he did pissed off the wrong people.

I went back over to Dollar’s car and placed explosives all around the vehicle and one on his chest.

  “Myst, are you almost done?”

“I will be in just a moment; you can go ahead and get in the car. I’m right behind you.” She replied as she finished up what she was doing.

Once Myst had the hands fully removed and placed into the suitcase she ran to the car. We drove two blocks up but not too far from the hotel that we wouldn’t be able to see the explosion then I pressed the detonator. There was a loud boom, the Benz flew up in the air in a blazing fire and then we heard a loud crash. We watched for a few minutes and the flames and smoke danced in the night air. When we had seen enough we split. No witnesses and no evidence.

  Chapter 2

  Legend

Slap, slap, “Wake yo bitch ass up playboy! Infamous hand me that bottle of acid off the table.”

I smirked wickedly at this snake while I spoke to my brother through gritted teeth. Infamous has always loved this side of me even though sometimes I hate it. His face displayed an evil grin as if he was proud that I brought this fool to the chamber. Murking this fake nigga is going to awaken something that lives deep within me that I have a hard time getting rid of. We all know there are two sides to every coin but my other side can be very vicious. If unleashed then there’s no telling what will happen. The worst part about letting Dark out, is watching what goes down and having no control over the actions. It’s like I’m sleep even though I’m wide awake.

This place that we’re in is Dark’s sanctuary because here he can do whatever demented thing that’s on his mind to his victims. Today the chamber is filled with my closet partners. Everyone stood along the walls watching the scene unfold like it’s a movie. The chamber is located inside a mortuary that I bought for no more than a few pennies when the owner died. His daughter said that she could not stand the profession and wanted nothing to do with the business. That was music to my ears because I knew I could make good use of it since there will always be a snake in the grass lurking especially when you get the type of money I’m getting.

My man’s Christopher Warren aka Wah G runs the joint for me. He is one of the best morticians here in Dallas and also one of the craziest too. He worked for the owner before he died so the best decision was to keep him on board since me or none of the team knew the first thing about running a morgue. Wah G is known for busting his guns and increasing the murder rate from hood to hood. Although he has much love for the streets he has been trying to walk the straight and narrow. I’m glad we get plenty of business because if not then it would be hard to try and keep him separated from the streets. Funny thing is even with all the business I still can’t keep him out the chamber.

All of my team is square business though and got more than just the street life under their belt. We are not only hustlers but we also have college degrees which set us apart from the normal street thugs. Get Money Boys for life; we get money every way we can whether it’s legal or illegal. GMB lives for this type of stuff. I looked around the chamber blinking rapidly in deep thought. The chamber is a secret room that I had built on the side of the crematory for instances exactly like this.

If you didn’t know about it you wouldn’t know it is even there. This room was all my brother’s Infamous’ idea. Infamous is the underboss of the GMB and I am Legend aka The Boss. Infamous is a very smart man but also a hothead who rather stand on the gun line than sit back and collect his paper. He’s the enforcer for the GMB and if you get the pleasure of seeing him then it is lights out for you and your family if they get involved. Infamous knows all sorts of torture methods and has all the necessary tools in this room to either kill you or make you wish you were dead.

The snake, Bray, sat strapped to a chair that has leather straps that bound around his neck, chest, arms and ankles.

“I bet this bitch ass nigga will wake up now.” Infamous said as he handed me the bottle that I asked for.

I laughed loudly and spoke to my homeboy, “Akin grab this nigga’s hand so I can make sure I pour the acid right where I want it to go and nowhere else.”

Akin, being the loyal soldier that he is, wasted no time getting up to grab his hand.

“I brought you into my circle, I broke bread with you and I made sure your family wants for nothing. Look around you, everyone you see in this room is family. If you cross one of us then you cross us all. Bitch ass nigga you know, slap, I, slap, don’t, slap, like to get my hands dirty, slap, slap,” I yelled as I beat him.

I ain’t no killer but don’t push me like Tupac said and right now I felt like I had been pushed. I hated for my Dark side to take over because I am no longer myself when Dark comes out to play. This fool Bray had been stealing for a good minute now and was trying to frame my lil homie Roe; I wasn’t having that. When he brought it to my attention it actually made me start watching him. One thing I know about Roe is that loyalty means everything to him. He was raised by my uncle and had been living with us his whole life. He doesn’t have a reason to steal part of what is rightfully his. He may not be family by blood but he for damn sure is family by love.

“Yo Legend,” Bray said to get my attention.

“What’s up my boy?” I said while dapping him up.

“Man Boss, I hate to tell you but I think the lil homie Roe been stealing,” he stated while approaching my desk to grab a seat.

“What would make you say that and before you answer make sure you have your facts straight because you know I don’t like speculations.” I asked as I stared into his eyes looking for signs of treachery.

“Boss, there’s no need to speculate because I know for a fact that he has been stealing. You know I pick up all the bread from his hood and each time I pick up the bread it’s shorter and shorter.” He replied as his eyes shifted around the room.

A smile spread on my face and my eyes squinted tighter then what they already were. “So you mean to tell me money has been short and you are just now telling me?” I said as I reclined back in my chair then crossed my legs over the top of my desk. “Now how do I know it wasn’t you since you waited all this time? Why would you play with my money? Why cover for a snake when
obviously it’s taking money out of your pocket too?” I questioned.

“Boss, I’ve been putting the little money back so that the count doesn’t come up short because I don’t want nothing to happen to lil homie,” he said.

  “Bray you may leave.”

  “But Boss”

Before he could finish his sentence I said to him one more time, “You may leave!”

That time I knew he got the picture because he jumped out of his seat then turned to leave quietly. Who did he think he was fooling? I know that he hates the lil homie. Ever since I told him that he was becoming too cocky and flashy it has been a problem. I could tell he wasn’t feeling it when I told him that he was drawing to much attention to the GMB but I didn’t care. It was time to move the team around again so when I rearranged my street team he didn’t get a demotion, he got a promotion.

I had Infamous put one of our young runners over Bray’s spots and had Bray do the pickups. After that is when he started the shade. Since he couldn’t get to me he channeled his rage towards Roe. He used to always say that I showed favoritism to Roe but what he failed to realize was that Roe was the weed connect. Why the hell would he be stealing from his damn self? Roe is a very significant member in the organization. The only reason that he even picked up money for Roe is so that I could have it washed and cleaned up for him. He wasn’t hurting for money and he damn sure don’t have to steal.

The minute he walked out I called Infamous and told him to put the watchers on Bray. In this business you can never be too careful. See what nobody knows is that I have mini cameras set up in different places at each of the stash houses. Each trap contains twenty-five bricks there at a time. Nothing more nothing less unless it’s sold. I placed those cameras there to keep the family safe but at the same time to watch my money. That’s not all; I also have a team for backup set up right across the street from each stash house that they know nothing about.

Those teams are the clean-up crews. They are put in place to monitor the spots, stay on top of police, and kill if and when needed. The teams are made up of men and women who have went AWOL, either injured or were kicked off the force from the Navy, Army, Marines, and even a couple of black listed contract killers with all kinds of skills are on the payroll. Those are the ones who served our country but can’t catch a break since they were discarded like trash for a mistake. I provide them with great pay and benefits through my security company called A-List security and for their families stability they give me their loyalty. I find a way to make sure everyone eats.

Each of my members are set up in different parts of Dallas. From Oak Cliff to Cedar Hill and all the way to Tyler. That’s not where the hustle ends though. We serve Texas and a few other states down south. To know me and to be in my inner circle means that you are a part of the family; a family that is built on loyalty and respect. I sat back in my chair sipping some Hennessey as I continued to think about this situation that was brought before me and I was left boggled because I will never understand the greed in people.

All he had to do is pick up the money, count it and drop it off. He still gets paid as the others do and he had less responsibility. If you ask me he’s the one winning. The reason things have ran so smoothly all these years is because nothing stays the same and my team is made up of solid people. We have rode for each other for a long time so there was no way that I would allow this snake to put a rift in the team. I could hear the hiss of his tongue a mile away.

The only reason Bray even got on is because his cousin Jude vouched for him. Jude is my man’s so I had to run this situation by him before I made any moves. Jude said he had been seeing a change in Bray too long before now and had spoken with him about it. Although Bray is Jude’s cousin that didn’t mean shit. Jude said that where he is from family can get it too if the trust and loyalty is breeched.

I guess Bray missed being in the limelight and felt that now would be the perfect time to get it back. As I zoned back into reality I smiled while he fought with all his might to keep me from getting to his hand. After watching him for a moment I lost control to my inner being then my eyes glazed over, my face twisted, my breathing changed and Legend had become no more.

“Shit!” Bray said when he noticed that Dark had officially taken over for Legend.

With fire in my eyes and the devil whispering in my ear I reached for his hand and poured the acid right in the middle of it. It was always funny to see the look of terror on my victim’s faces and I couldn’t help but to laugh with delight as the acid melted through his skin and bone. Now that there was pure comedy to me. Bray let out a scream so loud that if we weren’t in a sound proof room, people miles and miles away would have heard him.

After all the screaming that he did to no avail, he started shaking and trying to pass out. I slapped his face a few times and had the lil homie Roe dash him with water.

“Nah, nigga you got to stay woke for this,” I said.

Bray opened his mouth and tried to speak but I grabbed his face then pour acid down his throat before he could make a sound.

  “Speak no evil nigga.”

His eyes rolled to the back of his head so I poured acid in them too.

  “See no evil.”

I then grabbed his head and poured acid in both ears.

  “Hear no evil.”

I looked around at the team and they were all still leaning on the wall chilling as if nothing happened. I laughed at the sight of the scene before me then blinked twice and that’s when the change happened again and Legend returned.

“Get him to the crematory and clean this mess up,” I said as I was taking off the kill suit that Infamous provided me with.

When I turned to head out Jude looked at Infamous and whispered, “You know when Dark surfaces, there will be more bloodshed before he fully returns.”

“I look forward to it,” Infamous replied.

I walked right out of the mortuary and got in my 2010 Rolls Royce Phantom. True enough, I have a whole fleet of exotic cars but this here is my baby. My Phantom was the first car that I bought once I graduated from college and my fortune five-hundred company took off. My baby is cocaine white with cocaine interior and I love it. When I ride in her I feel a sense of accomplishment because I started from the bottom but now I’m here.

In case you didn’t know I am Legendary Hendrix, a twenty-eight year old multi-millionaire. I was born and raised in South Dallas, TX and I never would have imagined that I would be getting it like this. I was born to hustle baby, it’s in my blood. My mom was a booster who then turned to credit cards. For years she ran the biggest identity theft ring that the feds had ever got wind of. She is one of the lucky ones who was able to walk away free and retire from it all so she stayed on my back to do the same.

My mom said she had a plan and she stuck to it so when she hit her mark she could walk away. When I asked her why did she choose to go that route in life she simply stated that she did what she had to do to take care of me and Infamous since our father was never around. My mom said not to blame him because he had no choice and if he could be with us then he would. She can save that because there is no way that I was trying to hear anything she said to take up for that man. He abandoned his family and that’s all there is to it.

Infamous protected me as if I were his son and for that I will forever be my brother’s keeper. Infamous is the oldest by three years and people say that we look just alike. The only thing that sets us apart is the skin tone and Infamous is slightly taller. I stand six feet three inches and my skin is caramel brown. My eyes are dark gray and I wear my hair in a low cut with the tight fade. I make sure to keep my beard and mustache trimmed neatly and that seems to drive the ladies wild.

When I talk or smile you can see my dimples. My mom said that the ladies love the dimples but to me it is just small dents in my cheeks. I’m not studying no ladies or the drama that come with them right now because I have had more than enough to last me three lifetimes. I’m just waiting patien
tly on the right woman to come along.

I keep a very low profile and you would never know what I do or how I do it unless you are in my circle. It seems that this brain that I have been blessed with never stops working. I had to learn to meditate just to give it a break. While I’m thinking I’m hustling and while I’m hustling I’m thinking. I graduated from Princeton University with a M.P.A. (Master of Public Affairs). I worked hard for my three point eight G.P.A. My mission was to get out the hood and make it big. College is where I met the other top members of GMB. We all have a hand in legal activities but two feet planted in the streets. My team is uniquely made up of lawyers, doctors, engineers and accountants. Again you will never know who we are and what we do unless you know us.

After driving around helplessly I decided to go ahead and stop at the store so that I can get what I need to clear my head. I exited the freeway and pulled in at the Kwik Mart that is located in the north off of Skillman and Audelia to get me some cigars. I don’t usually smoke but after a kill I do so that I can try and calm the yearning for blood that has built up in my gut. I never wanted to be a killer but I find myself enjoying the kill more and more each time it happens. The only thing that really bothers me is afterwards I have a craving feeling for the kill. It’s as if something has been awakened inside and only more bloodshed can put it to sleep.

It was nice outside so I took off my brown Polo jacket and placed it on the hook in the back. Today I was dressed down in my green Ralph Lauren Polo shirt and some dark denim Polo jeans. On my feet I have on a pair of high top Polo boots with the Polo socks to match. Before I could open the door to step out of my car, the most gorgeous woman that I had ever seen walked by. For a moment I was lost and could only stare. I had to shake my head at myself because no woman has ever had that effect on me.

She had on some peach looking high waist pants with a cream mid top and some cream with peach red bottom heels. She has the sexiest body I have ever seen and when she turned to go into the store that ass grabbed all my attention. Oh my, that ass was right. She walked as if she was ripping the run way and her hips swayed seductively with each step. I had to gather my composure then adjust my pants before I exited and walked in the store.
